Gonzo – Live @ Flea Fly Flo Fun (18-09-2010)

OK, so I’ve been running around quite a bit lately, what with various job interviews to attend, many emails to answer, new records to listen to, flea markets to find, furniture to customize (photos coming soon!) and sporting events to participate in (that’s right!).
On top of all that I have acquired some old turntables that need fixing, my trusty Optio camera seems to have passed away, my wife is planning a trip to Hong Kong and my friends here in Singapore are always planning something fun.
Anyway, here is the recording (Yay, I finally found a way to properly record live sets without having the sound go bad after a couple of minutes!) of the live set I did for my friend Christy’s monthly flea market event at HOME Club, Flea Fly Flo Fun.
I was supposed to show up, play some tunes with other people, record the whole thing, and have time to browse through some of the many cool products that were on sale. But other participants never showed up, so I ended up playing for 5 hours straight, which is why the playlist is pretty much comprised of my all-time favourite tunes as well as some newer ones I’ve recently discovered.
All in all, a great Saturday afternoon! I played my favourite tunes in front of people with good taste, really loud with a good sound system, and for 5 hours straight without anyone asking me if I have some Madonna or Lady Gaga.
Enjoy!
* Note : As the set is way too big to upload as a single file I’ve cut it into two parts.
** Re-note : As I said, my camera died, so all photos courtesy of the various people attending the event over the years. They can all be found here.
