This edition will have a special feature, as my good friend Adrien will be joining us on visuals! I don’t have a demo of his work yet, but we’ll record his performance on Friday 30th, so I’ll post that as soon as it’s ready.
In other news, the Training Shed is getting ready for a 2nd edition of Sunday @ The Training Shed. The first edition was such a success that we’re doing it again, but better and louder!
By the way, Pushin’ On’s very own DJ Chunk and Shellsuit have just finished editing their live sets from the previous edition, so here they are!
Just a little post to let you guys know that I’m collaborating with various Singaporean artists and DJs on a very cool online radio project.
Sonar has been broadcasting for a while now, but it is now opening its airwaves to a varied group of DJs, selectors, performers and musicians (to name but a few of the ones I’m aware of: the Syndicate crew, the Pushin’ On crew, the Bedsty crew, the Electrocaine crew, the Straits Records crew, the Rawjak crew, and the Juice Magazine crew).
You’ll be able to hear my grand debut this Wednesday September 14th 2011 from 3 to 5 pm (Singapore time).
The 2-hour show you’ll hear was pre-recorded as it was technically difficult for me to broadcast live, but I’m hoping to be able to do that in the near future, as I play some sounds at Pushin’ On‘s monthly gig at BluJaz Café.
Bear in mind that I’ve never hosted a radio show and that I felt a bit weird hearing my own voice, so I kept the talking to a minimum (also, I remember that as teenager I used to record my favorite songs from the radio, waiting for the exact moment to press “record”, and I really hated when hosts spoke over songs).
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the sounds I picked, and I hope you listen to what I think is going to be a regular gig for me.
